Silvio the taxi Driver

As I mentioned yesterday , I have had to have a taxi home each day as my car was being repaired for the damage I inflicted on it in the holidays!
all the drivers have been Romanian and I've had some really interesting conversations. Many of them are working day and night and consequently have a very poor view of 'benefit scroungers' as they put it . Their experience is such that these people are the very ones who are abusive to them.
I was questioned keenly about Education and how they could improve the future for their children. It was very humbling .
Silvio is married to a teacher who can't get work here at the moment - he has been here since March and feels that the Romanian situation will not improve until attitudes change there.
He is buying his own car tomorrow and was very happy to have his photo taken - such a lovely man.
