The long and winding road still awaits

I have blipped the same road I did four and eight months ago on my check up day. I hope you can see I am no further down that road than before. This means good news. Treatment to continue as before no recourse yet to second line treatment. I am so relieved, I was a little apprehensive this time partly because my PSA is going up (and has gone up again but not critically so) but partly as I had a new consultant, mine having moved on. It's always unsettling when this happens, someone who has known my treatment path from the outset. This guy is the clinical lead and I must say I was impressed. He went through all aspects and decided to start me on a prophylactic dose of anti biotic in an attempt to get rid of the infection reoccurrences. So more tablets but a new approach.

I can get on with planning the wedding, and my trip to HK, NZ and HK before Christmas and new year before I have to return for my next check up. 2015 here I come! Three years on by then with an original prognosis of 18months to two years. I will complete my first 365 on blip now.

Thanks so much for your support yesterday I was a little worried but the outcome is as good as it gets! So I feel like a drink and certainly a relaxing weekend. Hope you all enjoy your weekend too!
