Chihuly Garden & Glass Museum, Seattle Center
10/2/2014 ~ Seattle Arts & Lectures hosted the poet Ted Kooser who Read from his new Book 'Splitting an Order' at the Chihuly Garden & Glass Museum, Seattle Center, Lower Queen Anne Neighborhood, Seattle, WA
Attended a reading this evening by Ted Kooser the 2005 Pulitzer Prize winner for his book 'Delights & Shadows.' Ted is an amazing poet and a wonderful reader. It was the opening of the 2014/15 poetry lecture series hosted by the Seattle Arts & Lectures and the first year that they have used the Chihuly Garden & Glass Museum. A great opportunity to walk around the garden prior to the reading in the all Glass House which usually is full of displays of his work but tonight the floor was set up as a lecture hall. The setting was beautiful.
A photo of Ted Kooser and Rebecca Hoogs, program manager at Seattle Arts & Lectures during a question and answer session at the end of the reading can be found here.
