Three Lamps Eatery and Bar

Not any more, unfortunately.

The lease payments demanded by the owners of the old Ponsonby Post Office made it uneconomic for the cafe/restaurant/bar to continue. That is despite being part of a group with other premises in Auckland. There is a lot of competition in the Ponsonby area. However, the real problem is the greed of the property owner. The lease being demanded must be very high, because the building has been unoccupied for well over six months. Makes no sense to me.

Took daughter C and the lads to the airport this morning so that they could get on the plane for Sydney. Two excited boys and one mother having to manage them. At least her brother will collect them at the other end and they will have a pleasant drive into the Blue Mountains for their stay.

Looking forward to reading the agenda papers this weekend. The weather here at the beach house is wet and windy, so nothing to distract me.
