What a beak !

Great for excavating, they love digging around in the fields.

All the crow families seem to be very noisy at the moment not just the Rooks - this one was making a terrible racket but Jackdaws , Magpies and Jays. It may just be that they are staking a claim, not sure, but they certainly have a lot to say and demand to be heard.

A Jackdaw followed me all over the playing fields and stopped whenever I stopped sat on nearby bushes or trees or football goalposts and only gave up when I had moved away a considerable distance. Not sure what he was after - a free lunch I guess.
