Goodbye to the East Stand

Started the day at a seminar along at Easter Road. Very interesting stuff, hearing how Hibs manage to run a profitable business whilst also achieving success on the pitch. John Hughes offered an insight into his unique man management style while the CEO told us how they manage things behind the scenes. Given what is happening in the rest of the football world it's good to hear how a club maintains a strong, competitive team and also manages to make a profit, which they've done for each of the past five years.

They also announced that the oldest part of the stadium will be demolished, starting this week, and a large new single tier stand built in its place. So I had to get out onto the pitch for a quick blip before it all gets knocked down.
