Busy city ...
Love the intensity, the rush, the noise and the sheer volume of things to photograph while walking around NY for a day. Started with one of my favourite NY things to do ... see an exhibition at MoMA early in the morning before the museum opens to the public. Incredible experience to be walking amongst all the art virtually alone in all that space. Well, just me and about 5 security guards watching me.
Then walked down to Chelsea to the Aperture Gallery which has an exhibition based on the NY Times Magazine photographs (my coveted book from an earlier blip). It also has a great selection of photography books for sale.
Next, walked the new part of The Highline which opened last week. Bit more of an industrial setting compared to the rest of the walk, spanning the train yards and bus depot.
Home for a change of clothes then have to head back into Manhattan for a cocktail party for school. Who said I'm going to miss NY? Sigh.
