Delicious

I was home alone this weekend with children #2 & 4. Youngest brought me coffee in bed, preheated the oven for breakfast rolls & set the table! I felt like a Queen on Mother's Day! After a lovely breakfast, the kids baked oatmeal cookies together - ones I could eat, too. Then we ran a bunch of errands together. It was such a surprisingly lovely day after an incredibly emotional & difficult week.

In the evening, I was off to celebrate a dear friend's 50th birthday with champagne & chocolates & our bestest girlfriends gathered by candlelight in an historic home in Kettwig. A fabulous, intimate affair for a very special occasion.
