The head lice check

I've read that you can put cuddly toys in the freezer to get rid of dust, head lice eggs etc as often soft toys can't be put in the washing machine. I do this a few times throughout the year much to the kid's amusement (they think Mummy is nuts).

This evening I was checking Dexter's hair for head lice. He seemed really nervous when I was checking him and then I heard him say:
"Please don't let me have them (nits) as I don't want you to put me in the freezer!"

Myself and Olivia started laughing but then I felt terrible as he seemed genuinely worried! I dread to think what he tells his teachers!
