Yesterday, I read Katie "Green Eggs and Ham" for the first time. She read the whole thing to me this morning. And tonight at bedtime she wanted "more like that". So I got out "The Cat in the Hat". She is really enjoying reading it!

Of school today, she said "Freya, poppy and I went on the field and we had a little den. Someone had made it already. I had the cake for pudding but I didn't like it. I ate my custard. I didn't do any writing, or any reading or any numbers today. Not with anyone!"

She had a good time at dance, though it was a weird class today. She got put in with a group who were working on an exam she's done already, despite her normally dancing with the other children who are two grades up. So she wasn't massively impressed and was a bit daft as a result. After class, she had coaching for her solo. I was very proud of her. She did her song & dance in front of the other competition girls and mummies. Although she chose to do it facing away from them today. It was very near bedtime, so I was proud of her for simply doing it and doing it well! We can turn it round a different day
