Growing old disgracefully

By GOD

LEAF

This was the first day for three months that we have been free, so the Professor and I made the most of it on one of our favourite trips - over the rest to Inveraray, gentle mooch round the fabulous Crarae Gardens, late lunch at the Oyster Bar and home by ferry. The autumn leaves at Crarae were spectacular.

The Professor is highly dedicated to the appreciation of nature:

Me: 'Look at all those huge butterflies swarming around that eucalyptus tree!'
The Professor: 'They're rubbing their chests against the winter chill.'
