Giant Prickly Pear

As I walked around my neighborhood, I realized that I could likely photograph a cactus plant every day and get a different image. This is of a very ripe prickly pear fruit nestled among the thorny pads of the cactus plant. The colors were truly this beautiful, and provided a spot of color on an otherwise gray morning.
