Busy day. Went to the zoo with a pal and her two children. Checked out these magnificent fellas in the penguin bit. The wee one loves the zoo, especially the 'tiny monkeys', ie the marmosets. They were especially beautiful... But I love the penguins the best.

After that, a trip to the ENT clinic where I rather unexpectedly had a camera shoved up my nose so a very nice doctor could look at my throat which has been sore since June. It's fine. Apparently I have globus which, I think, is a nice way of the medical profession saying... "Go away... There's nothing wrong with you... (Sigh) and noooo you don't have neck cancer"... Phew.

Home to extract the big little one from school and then a lovely autumn walk along the sea front. Well, I say lovely... My hip hurts and I have a trapped nerve in my leg. I ouched and hissed and limped a lot whilst trying to appreciate the changing light and the changing leaves. Am hoping that a session with a specialist on Friday sheds some light on my latest ailment. Honestly... am just a bit fed up with the whole wincing whenever I move thing. Pah.
