The Incoming Tide

Once again I was captivated by the advancing tide and
which wave would capture another few feet of sand.
In less than half an hour the sea would have taken
back what it had relinquished in time for the arrival
of the bucket and spade brigade ! There is something
comforting about the truth of this ebbing and flowing
on which we can all rely.
