Farewell

Today we said goodbye to one of life's good guys. In the eulogy, his friend for the last 50 years even said that Pete always did the right thing, and would have never hurt a fly. Amusing stories were told about the time he took Judy Dench home in his black cab and afterwards we went to a lovely hotel where there were ducklings on the pond and his nieces serenaded us with songs and guitar music.
A good send off, but unbelievable that he is gone. We had known him for such a short time.
In other news, Mr Frenchtoast (aka blipfoto.com/sonoflionel)has been in hospital in Mali with a severe case of Malaria, but seems to have turned a corner this evening and has started getting better. Hopefully he will be home soon.
