Those eyes

Her eyes melt my heart Every. Single. Time. they gaze up at me like that. Every time.

She had a good day at school today. She had a second one to one and said they were doing th words and some writing. She said she also was spelling words with one of the other teachers. Her spelling has really come on recently. Today she spelled "I go in the car with Mummy." and got it all. She has been reading words like that months. The writing of them has fallen into place too. She has beautiful neat handwriting all of a sudden to go with it.

She is doing happy dances this evening - she learnt today that she has now passed Grade 3 swimming. She has really wanted- and worked for- this. She's an average of 2 years younger than the children in Grade 3, and moves to Grade 4 before her 5th birthday. She still can't touch the bottom of the big pool. She had a grin like the cat who'd got the cream and told everyone we met in the changing rooms.

After swimming, we stopped at the parcel office to collect a delivery. She announced she needed the toilet. The lady kindly offered theirs. As a super big bonus, she got a tour of the sorting office and thought it was very exciting!
