Dublin
After arriving in Dublin 4 hours late (thankyou Ryanair), we decided it was justified to eat a stupid amount of food. What is pictured my friends is our second last course. After the sashimi and tartar tostadas, shrimp and steak taquitos and the wood fired sea bass came the above. A glorious half of a pig's head with its skin charred black and glazed in a rich caramel and a knife skewered into it face as part of the presentation. Needless to say, we were a bit taken aback. Then came the soft tortillas and condiment and we were ready to start. I pulled the knife and even this small movement led to the whole cheek to fall off the bone. The meat was so tender I'm getting chills just thinking about it. We picked and picked at the carcass until nothing was left. We even ate the tongue and the waiter was impressed/shocked.
