Finally completed the SeaVex part of the job, trenching 200m of cable 2m below the sea bed. The tool works like a hair dryer by sucking up the water and blasting the seabed, after which the cable should fall down into the trench. After a number of days arguing with clients about the composition if the seabed restricting the tool we got the all clear. Whilst I sleep the rest of the team are carrying out a post survey, so by the time I wake up we will be back in Wilhelmshaven de-mobbing the vessel.

The other job never came through in the end as the client couldn't provide enough data for the area to justify surveying it.

This all means that I should be home by Saturday/ Sunday.
