History

A day of culture in Central London.

Photo here shows Ramillies Street, home of the Photographers' Gallery, just off Oxford Street (in fact that's the well-known, Monopoly-green thoroughfare just in the gap between the buildings in the middle of the frame). And the trip here was after a lovely stroll around Somerset House to see Bleddyn Butcher's small-but-pretty-perfect photographic exhibition of 'Nick Cave & Cohorts' through the years.

Great Italian dinner in Soho followed by a play in the West End - basically like 'The Thick Of It' but set in a newspaper office. Plenty of laughs, decently done without being outstanding. A little broad for my tastes at times, but pretty solid nonetheless. Quick drink afterwards in the only pub in the vicinity that wasn't completely rammed and then tube home.

A little history.
