The Flashers do Nymans!
The Flashers is the name of our camera group and today we visited the beautiful gardens at Nymans, in West Sussex. This is possibly my favourite National Trust Property and lovely at any time of year and today it was exquisite. As we wandered round the gardens one of the gardeners shared his extensive knowledge with us then arranged for a guide to give us a private tour. If this wasn't enough we spied a professional photographer who'd come for the day and who showed me where to stand to take a photo of the famous summer borders, now showing signs that it is the last day of September.
Some of us went round the historic house beautifully decorated with flowers in autumn colours accompanied by a pianist who played Autumn Leaves just for us and a few others who had tagged along!
I cannot possibly do this wonderful place justice so if you would like to know a little more then go here. For those in UK there is a repeat of a programme on BBC4 next Monday at 8pm. Better still, if you want a guide at anytime then just call me!
