More lovely Autumnal moths...

Here's another beauty from my moth trap. a very smart Blair's shoulder-knot (Lithophane leautieri ).
The Blair's shoulder knot is a recent colonist being discovered for the first time in 1951 in the Isle of Wight, since then it has spred rapidly northwards and is now found commonly as far north as Cumbria.
It flies in October and November, in suburban habitats where it's foodplant, cypress especially Lawson's and Leyland cypress grow.
Overcast again tonight so I am keeping my fingers crossed for more beauties!
