When you've gotta go

A while ago Skyegirl mentioned a walk she'd taken to see a Roman fort in Twechar. I stashed the info away in the 'things to do' part of my brain and today the boys and I explored.

It's a great place. There's a nice wee walk up to it and quite a bit to see when you get there. And facilities (although they might be a bit antiquated for some).

We took a drive to try and find the Auld Wives Lift nr Baldernock next. We didn't find it but we're not giving up. It looks far too interesting to give up on. As do the Linn Caves, also nr Baldernock but I'm too much of a fearty to investigate those without hubby.
