The Comfort Zone of a Seagull

...is a fairly considerable distance when resting, apparently. I went to the top of Oswald Street carpark again, to try out my new gradient filter. I was distracted from the view by these three chaps/chapesses. They were spaced equidistantly along the parapet, watching for any stray garbage on Oswald Street down below.

It's odd how some seabirds are so solitary yet others so social. Guillemots, gannets etc are almost impossible to find alone, but these gulls (lesser black-backed, I think) seem keen to keep a respectful distance from each other.
