Baby, Bear

I was in charge again this morning while #1 d in l went off to the bank. Olivia was a bit reluctant to sleep but she was goo, even listened to the 5.20 'Shipping Forecast' (12.20 pm here). After her mum came back, with Nasi Lemak for my lunch, she was fed and slept for most of the afternoon.

I sat on the balcony and took up #1 son's new M&S trousers and later sewed cats. I have 6.5 cats to do plus 4 to unpick and redo as I made a mistake. his cross stitch was started in February 2009 in Montgaillard, in a different life and so far has been to Spain, Edinburgh, and now KL and possibly other stopping off points too. It is a bit grubby with some mysterious pink stains. I am really minded to finish it now and get on with the 'Skating Santa', in the style of the Rev Walker.

And it rained, making up for the lack of rain yesterday. It rained and rained and rained. About 5 Olivia woke up and we buggied, with rain hood on, across to Chamomile Block to visit Paw Paw (the other gran) and the grandfather. She hasn't seen her since Friday and is sure she has put onweight. Lots of cooing and aahing.

Then home and I looked after the babe while #1 d in l cooked fried rice. #1 son was unfortunately caught it terrible traffic, precipitated by the rainstorm and it took him 2 and a half hours to get back from S22.

Meanwhile, we did a photoshoot, trying to prop up Olivia on the couch with Flora, the bear from her Uncle M. I did much the same with her dad at the same age, minus the bear of course. They look very alike but she has a lovely nature (well so does he.)

She wasn't for sleeping though until another couple of feeds from her mum. meanwhile we watched 'Yes, PrimeMinister' and the 'Good Wife' and drank beer/Tiger. Then 3 1 son packed for Myanmar and I tidied. Another day over on the Home Front.
