Feast!

The majority of my day was spent exercising and mowing the front nature strip. It had gotten wildly out of control, and we only have a push mower so it took a lot of time, energy and patience to get it done. My god was it satisfying to see the result though! Once I'd finished the nature strip Dam was kind enough to tag team and to the front lawn. As he was doing so, this little blackbird was reaping the benefits of our freshly mown grass- I'm not sure whether it is the seeds or freshly uncovered insects and annelids, but he was chowing down!

Later in the evening, after a shower and a nap, Damian read Neil Gaiman's The Graveyard Book aloud as the sun went down. We finished off the day by treating ourselves to pizza and getting to bed early.
