Cousin Picture Day
What a boring title for a photo session that is always anything but boring.
At the minimum, twice a year my sister and I try to wrangle the kids together to get some pictures for Grandma (and ourselves). Every time we meet, my sister and I exchange a look that says, "why do we do this?" After a morning of tears shed over outfits/hair and minor wardrobe issues from Tanna who decided today was a good day to try out those super sharp sewing scissors and cut a hole in her shirt, we were surprisingly able to strap everyone in the car and have smooth sailing from there on out. We ventured up to Sedro Woolley to the (haunted) Northern State Hospital Farm for our Fall pictures. These kids were incredible. A cute thumbs-up and a little weeding from Tanna, a new "no teeth" smile from Alex and nothing but beauty from Lauren and Katie. My only complaint. . . I wanted to shoot more. A tantrum would've been nice to end on to get us out of there, but all I got from Tanna was some super happy feet. At the end of the shoot, Lauren (the oldest) attributed their good behavior this year to bribes by my sister and I. We laughed and reminded Lauren that we have bribed every year, it's just this is the one year it finally took. I will share more from the shoot as I edit.
