Honey Run

backblipping our drive home from Big Bear....

We were headed North for home and Glenn says "Hey, there is a covered bridge close by". He knows I like them so we decided to seek it out. Now, remember, we are hauling a 5000lb truck on a trailer. So, we head down the road towards the covered bridge and it starts to get narrower and bumpier. I am getting a little worried that we may have trouble turning around. We get there and with a little maneuvering we were able to turn back the right way :)

This is Honey Run Covered Bridge ~1894~
It was built in 1886 and covered in 1894. It's located in Chico, California and crosses Butte Creek. It was open to traffic until 1965 when it was hit with a car causing damage. It is now part of the county park. Here is the inside of the bridge.

We finally got back out on the highway and headed North to our stop for the night.
I am tired already...

Happy Wednesday
