My anchor
Anchors seem to be a reoccurring theme in my life. My tattoo on my inside wrist is of an anchor with a G clef wrapped around it.
We sang today for a fundraiser for the animal refuge league. It was 80 degrees f when we started. ( 26.6c ). It was 86 degrees when we left. By the way did anyone tell the weatherman that it was September 28th? Obviously not.
My fried Shelly gave me a box with two presents it it this morning. An orange scarf.( I love scarves) and a hat. Oh wait excuse me it's a hat of awesomeness. And it saved my life. We sang facing the full sun. So thank you Shelly for saving my skin, literally.
So when we sing at the farmers market we bring home vegetables. Since today we were singing for the puppies and the kitties. It seemed only right to take something home. Julie adopted a dog and I took home Tony. As in Tony the orange tiger kitty. He is 4 years old and under the bed right now. I am sure he will be blipped later. I hope he comes out however, I have a feeling it will be ok.
My other gift came today in the mail. It was this bracelet. My friend Liz sent it to me.
The card it was on reads:
Who's your anchor?
Anchored me bracelet helps you express to your most precious loved ones how much they mean to you. They celebrate your triumphs in love and life, pick you up when things fall apart, and keep you grounded.......your anchor.
I look at my bracelet and it makes me smile. It makes me realize that I have people that love me. That I always have an anchor...........love.
Thanks Liz
