Old Corn Exchange

I've driven past the Old Corn Exchange in Constitution Street hundreds of times and quite often I've glanced up at the figures in a frieze high up on the building. Tonight I had a closer look with my camera and the quality is really remarkable. One or two panels are in need of restoration but the whole frieze seems to depict the transporting of corn sacks by groups of angelic cherubs. Love to know more about their history.
