Bye Bye
Another attempt to get to grips with bee projectyet again torpedoed by the sun and warmth. Early afternoon MrB arrived with tractor and we pulled the trailer out and he set to work with the high pressure water cleaner. I offered to do it being properly dressed but he seemed to thoroughly enjoy it and did it himself.
With a big grin, he then set off with the trailer in tow. I suspect it won't be long before he has it looking great.
Then set about clearing out the shed where the tractor had been, having to resort to burning much of the wood as it was full of nails, screws and miscellaneous metal fittings. Very rarely make a "bonfire" as it's officially banned and can lead to problems. If there is no chance to recycle or use the rubbish bin and the wood is dry and burns "cleanly", then I think it can be justified. The last time was last year, burning some bee frames for MrB which he had forgotten to clean up and pack away, resulting in them being infested by wax moths. There is no sensible alternative to burning them.
