Swinging

After driving Marian to the station for her long journey back to Dorset, we went to town to take Ella and Nathaniel to the park. They both had a great time, especially on these swings. Then we had tea, baths, some Peppa Pig, and some stories before bedtime.

I had such a lovely visitor. It could have been difficult, as naturally Marian finds it very lonely and sad after 40 years with Peter, who died of cancer earlier this year. She was able to talk a lot about it, and all the exercise with our long walks helped her sleep better. I'm glad she said she had enjoyed it too and that she felt a bit better going home than she had on the way here.
