MEINBREXEN EL DORADO

After a slow start I saw the light suddenly at eleven o'clock and suggested to Piet Hein to go to Meinbrexen. The weather so heavenly. My ilness seemed suddenly to melt away. We went by car, it is not very far from where we live but cycling seemed still out of the question.
The silence and quietness of the surroundings of the lake does make us silent too.
The waterfowl, each kind sticking to each other, they make noises, sometimes louder, but also a soft kirring.
We walked along the shore and I found the bare branches caressing the water so peaceful.
There is a smal row of sunflowers towards the Railway bridge, the white and coloured butterflies still had a good heaven there.
We walked and sat for a while at the shore, taking it all in, before driving back home to a late lunch.
The afternoon we just sat and slept a bit, one after the other.

My haiku:

Don't disturb us now
We have our lifetime moment
Autumnal bliss

And the proverb:

To pick up (or gather) one's crumbs.

(= to pick up or recover strength or health)

1474 in the Paston Letters.
