Fuchsia
Dry, sunny day.
I know I blipped a fuchsia not so long ago but I do think they are such beautiful flowers and also it is close at hand, especially now that I am on my own and resting after my morning preaching. All went well with that and I know it was right that I carried on and fulfilled that engagement.
Enjoyed watching the latter stages of the Ryder Cup, with another famous win for Europe. I was particularly struck by all the fulsome praise heaped on the Captain, Paul McGinley, with his attention to detail in every stage of the planning. The importance of team spirit and morale cannot be over emphasised in any endeavour. My own feeling is that most businesses these days have lost any concept of how to engender morale among the workers and consequently the company suffers. The same is true of the UK.
To my mind, there are certain fairly basic principles to the task of engendering morale. However, if morale is lost, it is very, very hard to recover it. Maybe Paul McGinley should be in great demand to speak about the subject after this weekend.
Once again, thank you all for your kind concern. I am slowly improving and hope to be much better in a week or so.
