Waiting for her sister
Today I was in the mood to photograph a stranger and decided it would be a woman.
Men are easy to photograph because they are flattered by the invitation, women are more of a challenge because there decision to say yes is based on their own self image more than your flattery of them.
Tiffany was waiting for her sister on Portobello road, set apart from the bustle which drew me to her. We exchanged brief stories and she allowed me to take around ten shots of which this is my favourite.
Before I approached her I had decided what shot I wanted and what exposure it would be, the rest was about the transaction.
