Hong Kong - Admiralty District

Unexpectedly we walked into one of the "Occupy Central " Pro democracy protests this evening. The protesters had blocked major roads with a sit in protest. Many were wearing masks and had goggles and umbrellas. Luckily no tear gas was used here (but I believe it was in other areas of Hong Kong). The protestors were polite and were taking time to talk to the very irate drivers. It was calm and well ordered while we were there but I do wonder what will happen if these protest escalate.
The whole area was grid-locked for hours and it must have caused chaos for people especially those going to and from the airport.
We might leave with extra time on Tuesday!
