Open all hours ...

Actually open for most of today - Holy Trinity Church, Dunoon, at the start of an Open Day. The silverware was on the altar, the vestments on display, the iron cross (there when I first attended 40 years ago, and to my mind infinitely better proportioned than the wooden one, gifted by a server, which seems to be on more frequent duty) standing in the sanctuary, the history of the restoration projected onto the north wall and all the hassocks standing to attention in the pews.

I can't help reflecting on how much this church has changed over the 40 years, and rejoicing in how much more cared-for it looks now.
