On stony ground

This sycamore is growing out of Whittington Castle's wall. It's amazing how plants can grow so well as there can't be much nourishment for them amongst the stones. There are some sycamores three times the size on the back wall of the castle but this one is prettiest as the leaves have changed to their autumn colours.

Band practice all afternoon into early evening. They devoured all the cake except for one piece!
