Surface Tension.

This was not my intended blip.

I was taking shots of fallen leaves off the Maple tree we have that had landed in a spiders web, but as I was very near the bird bath, I noticed a maple leaf that had fallen into it and was intrigued by the surface tension by the weight of the leaf on the water.

Looks good in Large view.

You can see the leaf trying to break the surface tension where the stem and the edges of the leaf are, but not quite heavy enough to break it.
