La vida de Annie

Esta tarde en Addaia.

The view from the terrace this evening. Today was the residents' association AGM, a two-and-a-half hour exercise in tedium with occasional rediculous moments: "Can we get rid of the sparrows - they make such a noise". Most people murmered "no!" in a civilised English way, as the dawn and dusk gatherings of the swarm/murmeration/flock/whatever is a delightful thing to hear and behold. I needed a long siesta to recover from the trauma of a few dozen British occasional visitors arguing the toss over trivia, in a very restrained English way - a good old fist fight would have been much more entertaining. Anyway, after my long afternoon kip I had regained the will to live, just in time for a nice dog walk up to the village shop, to see and hear the sparrows and to catch the lovely sunset. It may be the last for a while; storms are forecast for the next week.
