Aliens in the ground

Day of gardening. Found these, not sure what they are but I think they are slugs eggs. Don't think they are beneficial to the garden. Got some more garden pots and some bulbs. That will be next weeks jobs. Went for a walk to find we are too late for the brambles. All the busy weekends meant we missed them. Lovely autumn day.
