Balfron

This is the rear view of the street that runs along the southern edge of the village.

In the middle of the picture is the simple red sandstone building that is St Anthony's Church, which until recently was the last building along that side of the street.

As you can see, a new housing estate is being built to the right of the kirk. Some for local needs are still under construction, while the big swanky private ones with no more than an arm's length between them are finished and occupied.

They have magnificent views of the Campsies. The older houses on the other side of the street have lost theirs. Tant pis.
