Lazy Spooky and Sparkly Days
We stayed relatively local on the Thursday with a trip to Pencarrow House which was an interesting old house with a lot of old stuff in it. I think it would be really interesting for someone into their antiques but that wasn't us. We did enjoy a really lovely walk around the grounds though especially since the weather continued to be so beautiful. We were very lucky.
After the house we took a drive to Bodmin where we had some lunch before heading to Bodmin Jail which was incredibly depressing and I have to say the place gave me the absolute creeps. I was actually quite relieved to get out of there.
The last stop on our trip on the Thursday was to Camel Valley Vineyard where I sampled their sparking Brut and sparkling Rose on a lovely terrace overlooking the vines and the valley. The view was stunning and I was very impressed with the sparking Brut - it was really really lovely. I was surprised as on one of our early dates Steve and I had a bottle of English wine when out for dinner and it was awful! This on the other hand was so delicious we did buy a bottle or two...
In the evening we went out to another local restaurant in port Isaac and enjoyed a wee drink and amazing food. I love being on Holiday!
