Attermire Scar

Drove to Settle for a waterfall and cave walk. Sky was clear blue after a foggy start. The walk visits the caves at Attermire Scar (the deep cleft in the hillside straight ahead on the picture) and Victoria cave where evidence has been found of human inhabitants back to 120,000 BC. Waterfalls at Catrigg Foss and Stainforth on the River Ribble.
