Belmont Station
Belmont Station Beer Store and Biercafė is its full title. Makes a nice change from Elizabeth Station, and I think it has a bigger selection of bottles.
The first time we came to Portland, to celebrate my 70th birthday four years ago, we drove down. When we visited Belmont Station, it was the first time I'd had access to such a great selection of Belgian beer, and I was determined to take full advantage of it! I loaded up the car with about $200 worth of beer.
My cellar is well-stocked now, and we don't have the car with us, so I only bought two small bottles to take home.
We weren't as energetic as yesterday, though we did walk part of the way to and from Belmont. We sampled several beers there, and had lunch from the adjacent Italian Market food cart. The food was very good, and the portions were too big for our modest appetites, so we don't feel like going out again for a meal this evening. We'll have a snack and pack for the trip home tomorrow.
