This retrospective shows how Arachne’s photography has developed – thanks to the significant influence of the Blip Community on whose support Arachne has depended totally during her short photographic career – from the tentative early days to the gradual emergence of a recognisable style.

The photograph selected for this landmark event demonstrates several of Arachne’s tropes: the characteristic reflections, disparate structures and an obsession with geometry as well as, increasingly, unwitting humans and visual jokes so obscure that the reason for their inclusion is difficult to understand. Arachne’s offerings often contain a linguistic element, not least in this recursive work.
