London Lights

I had a lunchtime meeting in London today near Westminster, which meant a leisurely train journey up to Waterloo from Hampshire and a bus journey to the offices I was visiting.

After a productive meeting, I wandered back to the bus stop and waited ... and waited ... and waited. The traffic wasn't moving, so I consulted one of the information panels which are handily located around the city and decided to walk the 20 odd minutes back to Waterloo. The weather was glorious and my one regret was that I only had a camera phone to capture the sights.

Back home I discovered that the London taxi drivers had organised a demonstration which caused the traffic snarl ups, and my decision to walk was well taken, even if it did mean I was late getting back to my office.
