Mont Ventoux

After a visit to the amazing market at Carprentas ( arrive early to get parked ) we headed for Mont Ventoux, which dominates this area of France. The drive is quite an experience and the summit provides spectacular views. It would appear also to be a popular place for cyclists as we encountered many going up, coming down and recovering at the summit whose height is 1912 metres- about 6000 feet in our money!
