Whomping Willow?

Actually it's not but it is the tree that Severus Snape is sat reading at the foot of, in one of the Harry Potter films.
This has always been my favourite tree in the Blenheim Palace Estate. We always sit under it to eat our picnic, as the views of the palace and the lake are beautiful from here.

One or both of us gets inside the tree, as it is completely hollowed out. Today the dogs were too hot and wouldn't stand still, so although Mr E clambered inside, Brodie and Fionne wouldn't stand still and the photographs weren't as good as I'd hoped for.

Mr E has gone to see One Night Of Queen this evening in Oxford. During the interval, he messaged me to say that it's brilliant and he's been singing his heart out, much to the amusement of the audience!!
