View from the Other Side
An unusual view from the back of the hot border. The main feature is a tree paeonia which I've had since it was a tiny seedling grown by a friend. They are not easy to grow as they need two periods of dormancy before they germinate. It will grow to about 20 ft and has the most beautiful clear lemon flowers in late spring. The seed heads of Inula are at the front of the shot with an Aruncus just behind it. Cornus Kousa is the small tree in the background.
