Smoking water

This morning as the alarm went off, I lay in bed and listened to the wind roaring outside. It is a long time since the wind has been anything but a gentle breeze.
My beautiful girl trundled off to do her last shift at the old job and I wandered up the hill with the woofers, thankfully avoiding the squally showers. I trundled off to work and spent the entire day at Andy's, re-routing pipes and removing redundant pipework. It has been a bit of a busy day, and I've spent a lot of time working out what all the pipes are doing and if I needed to keep them or remove them.
Leaving Andy's I stopped to snap a quick shot of the Kame of Hoy. The wind has been Force 6 or 7 all day, whipping the sea into huge waves before tearing the tops off. The air was full of sea spray, making the sun milky.
When I got home, I was surprised to find a bottle of prosecco and a card for Kayte and me in the van. Seems Andy had sneaked it into the van whilst I was working. Really lovely of him, and another reason why he and his wife are amongst my favourite customers.
